Born from Belief. Built for Both Continents.
EAI was founded on a conviction: that the relationship between Europe and Africa demands a dedicated, expert, and independent platform. A platform built not on charity, but on mutual respect, shared interests, and the understanding that both continents have everything to gain from genuine cooperation.
Who We Are
A Dedicated Platform for One of the World's Most Important Relationships
EAI was established to address a clear gap in the Europe-Africa cooperation landscape. Despite the depth of historical, economic, and cultural connections between the two continents, meaningful partnership has too often been fragmented, conducted through bilateral channels, short-term initiatives, or frameworks that fail to reflect the evolving realities of both sides.
“EAI was created not to observe the Europe-Africa relationship from the outside, but to actively shape it from within as an independent, expert, and committed actor.”
What makes EAI distinct is our commitment to genuine mutuality. We believe that lasting Europe-Africa cooperation cannot be built on a donor-recipient model. It must be built on shared interests, complementary strengths, and equal voices at the table. That conviction is the foundation of everything we do.
