EAI was established to address a clear gap in the Europe-Africa cooperation landscape. Despite the depth of historical, economic, and cultural connections between the two continents, meaningful partnership has too often been fragmented, conducted through bilateral channels, short-term initiatives, or frameworks that fail to reflect the evolving realities of both sides.

Tolulope Omodara

Founder and Chairwoman of the Board

Tolulope Omodara is a public policy and government affairs expert with a Master’s degree in political Science, specializing in Europe-Africa trade relations. She has worked with the German Consulate in Lagos, the German parliament Siemens, Infineon Technologies and the Friedrich-Ebert-Foundation. Tolulope designs and implement public engagement strategies, advices on trade and geopolitical issues, and build partnerships to advance sustainable cooperation between Europe and Africa.

Timilehin Paul Ogunnusi

Vice chairperson

Timilehin Paul Ogunnusi is a recent graduate of the University of Potsdam with interests in climate economics, sustainable development, and policy research. He is passionate about promoting innovative and evidence-based solutions to global challenges through research, collaboration, and international engagement.

Dr. Kristian Klinck

strategic advisor

Dr. Kristian Klinck is a German political scientist, educator, and politician who holds a PhD in Political Science from Freie Universität Berlin. As a Member of the German Bundestag, he has contributed to parliamentary discussions on defence, security, migration, and public policy, drawing on his extensive experience in both academia and politics. From 2022 to 2024, he served as a member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), supporting international dialogue on security and democratic cooperation.

Dr. Timothy Tella

Trade and raw material expert

He is a geoscientist, scientific editor, and Europe–Africa collaboration advocate. As a member of the Europe–Africa Initiative (EAI), he promotes trade, investment, research, and knowledge exchange between Europe and Africa by leveraging his experience in academia, scientific publishing, and stakeholder engagement. His work focuses on building sustainable partnerships that connect science, industry, and policy to drive innovation, economic development, and capacity building across both continents.

Margaret Torkura

Treasurer

Margaret Torkura is a graduate of the University of Potsdam with experience in talent acquisition, community engagement, and intercultural collaboration. She is passionate about connecting people, creating opportunities, and fostering inclusive communities.

Falegan precious Nifemi

Social media expert

Precious Nifemi Falegan is a Sustainable Industrial Operations and Business student at Hochschule Landshut with a passion for sustainability, innovation, and international collaboration. She is also a media enthusiast with experience in communications and digital engagement, having worked as a media strategist with the Deggendorf Institute of Technology. By combining her interests in sustainability and media, she aims to promote meaningful dialogue, cross-cultural exchange, and stronger partnerships between Africa and Europe.

Joshua Oladele Olatunde

Member & Migration policy expert

He is a political scientist and linguist who holds a bachelor’s degree in German as a foreign language as well as in Politics, Administration and Organisation. Over the years, he has worked with German institutions on Migration policy.
